We are grateful for this opportunity.” Nathalie Pilon, President of ABB Canada Distributor over $50 million Westburne Internet of Things Symposium: With the Internet of Things being new, we wanted to think differently about how we would host an event for our customers. We hosted this event at the Open Sky Incubator in Kitchener – a tech incubator that that helps businesses connect. We brought in some of the best speakers in the industry to show our customers to opportunity that IoT presents to their companies. Lastly, and possibly the most important, through contributions made by Westburne and our customers at this event we made a donation to the Foodbank of Waterloo. “IoT is exciting and we wanted to host and event that showed our customers the tangible possibilities.” – Collette Takacs, IoT Solutions Manager Manufacturer over $50 million Education through Celebration: The 70th Anniversary of 3M’s invention of Vinyl Electrical Tape inspired a fully integrated campaign. It took the form of a year-long party, injecting knowledge and excitement about 3M premium electrical tapes. Continued on page 24  Lumen: The opening of our new Central Distribution Centre (CDC) was a big success, with over 2,000 attendees including customers, suppliers, Lumen personnel, the Mayor of Laval and dignitaries, journalists. Philips Lighting: The LCC is an interactive educational facility where learners can experience a variety of real-world lighting applications of Philips’ latest innovations and technologies. Our Grand Opening provided an exclusive sneak peak of the new facility, showcasing various lighting applications from offices and commercial to urban, interior/exterior, architectural, healthcare and retail spaces.
